Mmm, Chocolate

Mmm, chocolate… as Homer Simpson loves to drool about is one of the most popular of all forms of confectionery and with good reason, which we’ll find out about here.

First up I have to say its been a while and for that I do apologise to anyone wanting to see where this confectionery blog was going only to see it going nowhere for a while! Well, ok its back now and I’ll be doing as promised in the opening post Confectionery, and that’s talking about the sweet stuff!

This stuff is a real treat for just about everyone. Anybody can use some more dessert, regardless of race, sex, age and social status. We all know that eating too much of the delicious stuff is going to make you gain weight, but what the hell?

Yeah, I know… eating too much can have all kinds of health repercussions, not to mention the additional dental bills that will inevitably follow. Bit they come displayed in such beautiful boxes, moan how could anyone resist their charms? Ha! You’d want to take note of this. Now you can really have your cake and eat it. You can find these in all sorts of places. We all enjoy freshly baked cakes, because we’re only human after all. There are several conflicting sentiments on this topic. Many people think about chocolate cake as abandoning all hope, but you have to have something to look forward to. These delightful treats you should eat out of fancy boxes. It’s just too much to resist, especially some of the really high quality confectionery made with a really good chocolate recipe. Where do you think it comes from? I would not expect you to have a prejudice as to confection. Banish such thoughts. By the way, let’s consider organizing a little hands-on experience to test this theory. We’re talking about the gorgeous substance here.

Think about some of the things we can use to make the chocolate better and we’re on the slippery slope to chocaholism (if there is such a word)!

I can’t recommend it enough. How much more wonderful can it get?. Whether you prefer milk, plain or white chocolate it’s up to you. The clever part is getting just the right blend of ingredients. You’ll be hard pressed to get better pictures than these. It sort of melts in your mouth. Cocoa beans are the raw ingredients. Its the easiest thing to do.

They come in all shapes and sizes. Chocolate is a practical way to monitor that thing. A man is known by his lust for the dreaded chocolate chip cookie. What could you possibly be thinking. This stuff literally grows on trees. Opportunity seldom knocks twice. Knowing all the facts about your weight doesn’t help much under these circumstances, I’m afraid. I don’t know why this is as of yet.

I can’t stop myself from staring at the incredible confection in the store. Really cool ways of avoiding chocolate stores are of course to stay at home and chain yourself to the bed. Don’t eveb switch teh TV on or you’ll see some in the ads.

This subsequent information means that I wouldn’t believe myself to weigh what my henchmen must be debating about confection. We all know just how tempting they can be. The best advice I can give is this: There is not a lot wrong with what I am saying. This is something that you can melt over desserts. Sometimes you simply can’t beat these for flavour and texture. With more companies getting into the chocolate cake business, the demand for it has never been higher. When I saw those tempting chocolate models, I was quite stunned. I had surmised that I would not have more to say about chocolate in any of its many forms. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t indulge. You could be pouring over examples of these things all day. I’m not seeing the results that I should.

Make sure you keep longing for the forbidden fruit that is chocolate. There are so many ways in which to eat the stuff it will eventually drive you insane. Better stop writing now and go eat a large bar of, um lettuce…

This is going to be a fascinating look into the world of confectionery and all the different types that exist moulded into a collection of sweet stories and articles that are all on the subject of confectionery.

We’ll be bringing you lots of tales of sweetmeats, candies, chocolates and toffees, caramels and nougats, candied jellies and sugar based things to eat that are probably all very bad for you but you want them anyway! We hope to entertain with our articles and posts as well as inform and intrigue so there should be something for everyone in here.
